More support reaches pandemic-hit localities
PANO - Units inside and outside the military on September 11 continued giving support to pandemic-hit localities nationwide.

The Military Command of Binh Long town (Binh Phuoc province) coordinated with other units to transport 35 tons of food, farm produce, and other necessaries to assist troops and people in Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City in the fight against COVID-19.
These goods were contributed by people from all walks of life in Binh Long town in a hope that the recipients could control the pandemic soon.
The same day, the standing board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee’s Ho Chi Minh City’s chapter received medical supplies, including oxygen generators and drugs to treat COVID-19 patients, from many donors. The supplies will be handed over to the people’s committees of 21 districts and Thu Duc city to help improve treatment quality for COVID-19 patients and reduce COVID-19 related deaths.

Also, more than 500 troops from the Binh Phuoc Provincial Military Command and other military units supported farmers in five districts of the province to harvest farm produce because it was the peak time of harvesting in these localities.
The same day, Regiment 726, in coordination with Military-Civilian Hospital 16 under Army Corps 16, injected the first shot of COVID-19 vaccines to 682 people in Quang Truc commune, Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong province.
Apart from conducting vaccination program for local people, the regiment has over the past time boosted dissemination of information about COVID-19 prevention and control measures and the Health Ministry’s 5K regulations to raise locals’ awareness, contributing to the national pandemic prevention efforts.
