During the meeting, General Quyet inquired after and presented MND’s gifts to the national contributors. On this occasion, he also informed them about the task performance of the military, especially policy work for the military and its rear, as well as gratitude work.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day (July 27), the whole military also launched an emulation movement in tribute to national contributors, provided financial support to build 1,769 gratitude houses, presented 806 saving books to policy people and national contributors; provided free health check-ups and medicines to over 13,000 people. In addition, they also presented silk clothes and gifts to 1,489 heroic Vietnamese mothers while handing over medical supplies to five nursing centers for wounded soldiers, among others.

He affirmed that the activities contributed to taking care of the policy beneficiaries’ material and spiritual life, while educating the youth about the beautiful tradition of the nation “When drinking water, remember its source.”

Currently, the province has over 150,000 national contributors (accounting for nearly 17 percent of the population), including more than 13,000 martyrs and 20,000 wounded soldiers, over 1,300 heroic Vietnamese mothers, 27 people honored with the title Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
