Military unit builds house for reservist
PANO – A groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a “military-civilian sentiment house” for reservist Pham Van Trung was held on February 18 in An Phuoc hamlet, An Ngai commune, Long Dien district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
The event was jointly organized by the Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial Military Command and its affiliated agencies and units.
Pham Van Trung, who is a reservist of Song Ray Infantry Battalion under the Military Command of Long Dien district, is facing housing difficulties.
Learning about his situation, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province’s border guard force decided to provide financial support for Trung to build the house.
The 80sq.m house is constructed on his family’s land in An Phuoc hamlet, An Ngai commune. It comprises a sitting room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and sanitation facilities.
The house construction cost is estimated at VND 175 million, of which the Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial Military Command’s affiliated agencies and units donate VND 82 million, and the remaining comes from former Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 7 Major General Le Minh Quang, benefactors and his families.
The house is scheduled to be completed and handed over to Pham Van Trung on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Southern liberation and national reunification day (April 30, 1975 - 2022)
