Local military command braces for 2019 nCoV
PANO – The Provincial Military Command of Nghe An has braced for the current possible outbreak of the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in the locality, as reported at a meeting held on February 3 following the inspection visit by a delegation of the Military Region 4 (MR 4) Command.
Reports said, the unit has seriously directed its affiliates to make necessary preparations, enhanced information dissemination to raise people’s awareness of the disease, and established a steering board for epidemic prevention and medical groups in response to a possible outbreak.
Speaking at the meeting, MR 4’s Commander Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh highly valued the provincial military command’s active epidemic prevention while asking them to continue monitoring troops’ health, including the incoming recruits.
In addition, he urged the unit to regularly provide basic knowledge of disease prevention and personal hygiene for local people and troops.
Also, he required the unit to collaborate with the provincial health department to follow all situations and to early detect suspected cases so as to quarantine and treat the patients on time.
