Houses handed over to poor households
PANO - The Command of Army Corps 16 in collaboration with the Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Phuoc province and the Party Committee of Dong Phu district started the construction of “Great Unity” houses for needy households in the area on May 17.
Accordingly, 50 “great unity” houses, totally worth VND 4 billion, will be built for 50 needy households. After the groundbreaking ceremony, Army Corps 16 started the construction of 10 first houses in the communes of Dong Tam and Dong Tien, Dong Phu district.
On the same day, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial Military Command coordinated with the People’s Committee of Chau Duc district and other sponsors to start the construction of gratitude houses for three families in need in Chau Duc district.
Each 60sq.m house will cost VND 12 million. Three houses are expected to be completed in mid-June 2020.
