Within the program, Thanh Xuan district’s veterans and Youth Union members offered incense and flowers in tribute to heroes and fallen troops at A1 National War Cemetery, visited Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum and Dien Bien Phu Battlefield special relic site.
In Dien Bien district, the delegation handed over 100 gifts, each worth VND 300,000, to local policy beneficiary and disadvantaged families; 6,000 notebooks and hundreds of sets of clothes to students of Thanh Luong commune Secondary and Primary School.

On the occasion, they had an exchange and presented a souvenir to Thanh Luong Border Post of the Dien Bien provincial Border Guard Command.
The same day, a mission from the Hanoi Capital Command and the State Audit Office of Vietnam visited Dien Bien province. During the visit, the Hanoi Capital Command presented a comradeship house, a house of compassion, 10 gifts to local policy beneficiaries and national contributors. The State Audit Office of Vietnam also gave a house of great unity and 10 gifts to locals.

The leadership of the two units inquired after and learnt about the living conditions of local policy beneficiaries. They confirmed that the Party, State, and military always bear in mind, are grateful, and have policies to support revolutionary contributors. They hoped that national contributors and policy beneficiary families would keep good qualities, traditions, overcome difficulties, do utmost to rise in life and build a happy life as well as make active contribution to local socio-economic development and set a bright example for younger generation to follow.
Also at the event, the military commands of Hanoi’s Ba Dinh and Hai Ba Trung districts presented 40 gifts to policy beneficiaries in Dien Bien Phu city and Muong Cha district.

Also on March 29, a working mission from Hanoi’s Son Tay town’s Party committee, socio-political organizations, led by Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the town Nguyen Quang Han visited policy beneficiaries in Phinh Giang and Pu Hong commune in Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province.
The mission gave bikes, drums, red scarves, 12 savings books worth VND 5 million each to local families facing hard living conditions to help them develop production and reduce poverty. The total value of the gifts was nearly VND 180 million.
