At the units, including Division 9 under Army Corps 34, the Tay Ninh provincial Military Command, Division 5 under Military Region 7, the Border Post of Phuoc Tan Border Gate, and the Tay Ninh provincial Border Guard Command, the delegation heard reports on their typical attainments in political task performance and preparations for the upcoming lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

Gen. Minh asked the units’ party committees and chains-of-command to embrace and implement missions and all working aspects; raise quality of training and combat readiness capability; carry out Party and political work; and coordinate with other units and localities to perform their political tasks.
The units were also requested to promote solidarity, unification, comradeship, complete both routine and unscheduled tasks, build comprehensively-strong, exemplary and typical units, and emulate to gain more achievements in the year.
For units stationed in border localities in Tay Ninh province, Gen. Minh urged them to raise quality of mass mobilization work, build a firm people’s heart disposition, build safe border areas, and cultivate solidarity and friendship.
As Tet is drawing near, the GDP leader asked for a cozy, healthy, safe Tet for both troops and local people. He wished officers and soldiers a new year of good health, excellent completion of all missions.
The same day, leading a delegation of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND), GDP’s Deputy Director Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To visited the Military Command and the Border Guard Command of Hue city, the Border Post of Thuan An Port Border Gate under the Hue municipal Border Guard Command.

Gen. To praised them for their last year’s outcomes. He asked them to continue doing advisory work to effectively carry out military and defense work, build a strong defensive area; strictly observe combat readiness regulations; closely team up with other forces to patrol to safeguard border areas, ensure political security, social order and safety in the stationed localities and effectively fight against crimes.
Together with organizing warm, joyful and significant Tet holiday for troops, the units were requested to take care of the life of local policy beneficiaries, national contributors; prepare for the 2025 edition of recruitments and training sessions.
Also in Hue city, Gen. To offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs at the municipal Military Command; and handed over Tet gifts from the CMC and MND to the units’ troops.
In a visit to Lang Giang district and Bac Giang provincial convalescent centers for wounded soldiers and national contributors, GDP’s Deputy Director Lt. Gen. Do Xuan Tung inquired after those being taken care of at the centers and expressed deep gratitude for their great contribution. He presented Tet gifts from the CMC and MND to them and wished them good health, promotion of qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, setting an example for younger generations. Gen. Tung asked the two centers’ staff to promote sense of responsibility and take care of wounded, sick soldiers, and national contributors.
Extending Tet greetings to Bac Giang province’s armed forces during his visit to the provincial Military Command, Gen. Tung requested the command to observe duty regulations, maintain high combat readiness capability, and better troops and local people’s spiritual and material life.
