One of the distressed fishermen receives healthcare from Da Nang border troops

According to Major Pham Dinh Tan, Acting Commander of Flotilla 2, the victims are among the five fishermen, who experienced food poisoning when fishing at Thua Thien Hue waters. Previously, on September 12, fishing vessel numbered DNa 90421 of Le Van Dong from Thanh Khe district of Da Nang City with 9 men on board went fishing in Thua Thien Hue waters. After having meals late at night, five fishermen felt tired and had syndromes of being poisoned. Reportedly, in the most serious case, victim Captain Le Van No, had convulsions and died at 5:00 am on the following morning.

After receiving the news, the Da Nang Border Guard Command immediately sent a ship of Flotilla 2 with military doctors of 115 Emergency Center on board to the scene. By 9:25 am of September 13, the three seriously poisoned fishermen, namely Le Van Muoi, Le Van Nam, and Nguyen Van Thuong were taken to shore safely and were provided with emergency care.
