At the same time, schools in Pung Banh are downgraded and situated far from the commune’s center, thus considerably affecting the quality of study of local students.

Learning about this situation, the Compassionate Hearts club - Vinh Phuc Quan Do pagoda in Van Mon commune, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh province has collaborated the Defense-Economic Unit 326 of Military Region 2 and local authorities to build a new school campus of Hoa Dao (Peach Blossoms) Kindergarten in Pung Cuom hamlet, Pung Banh commune.
The construction of the campus cost over VND 300 million, including a fully-packed classroom, a staff room, and amenities such as a kitchen, a storage, a schoolyard, and teaching tools, to name but a few.
Once operational, the facility will help ease difficulties for local teachers and students.
Reportedly, Hoa Dao Kindergarten comprises 12 school campuses with 24 classrooms, accommodating 520 children at the ages from 13 months to 5 years old. Notably, the kindergarten’s old school campus in Pung Cuom included makeshift rooms. “This is a meaningful present to create favorable conditions for local children to study and develop as well as to further raise our education and training quality,” underlined Ms. Lu Thi Uon, the kindergarten’s rector.
Since 2022, the Compassionate Hearts club – Vinh Phuc Quan Do pagoda has also joined hands with the Defense-Economic Unit 326 to implement an economic development model named “Breeding pig bank” to hand over breeding pigs to impoverished households in Huoi Ai hamlet (Sop Cop commune) and Co Muong hamlet (Muong Lan commune) in Sop Cop district. At the same time, the club offered hundreds of gifts to local families in the district. These activities were totally worth more than VND 350 million.
Senior Colonel Vu Hong Manh, Commanding Officer of the Defense-Economic Unit 326 shared that over the past time, the unit has pro-actively cooperated with local authorities and sponsors nationwide to wholeheartedly support local people to develop their economy and then successfully escape from poverty.
