Maj. Gen. Nguyen Minh Thang speaks at the event.

Over the past years, the command’s Party Committees and Chains-of-Command at all levels have always inquired after and given both material and spiritual encouragement to their aforementioned servicemen and sick, wounded soldiers and national contributors in garrison areas. These activities have helped foster revolutionary ideal, educate about tradition, arouse national pride and love for the homeland among the command’s personnel.

To better the policy and gratitude work, Gen. Thang asked for more attention to policy for troops and troops’ families, particularly for wounded and fallen soldiers, more information dissemination about national traditions and revolutionary heroism.

He asked relatives of wounded and fallen soldiers to bring into play their family’s tradition, constantly exert efforts, overcome difficulties, excellently complete all assigned tasks and set a bright example in ethics and strong will for the command’s staff to study and follow. They should also actively contribute to building a comprehensively-strong, typical and exemplary unit, a healthy and strong Party organization, and excellent and strong mass organizations, as well as take part in gratitude activities launched by the unit and localities.
