On the occasion, the organizing panel presented 70 gifts to policy households and needy fishermen and national flags, life jackets, leaflets with sea and islands-related information, and booklet on the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard to fishermen.

Head of the Ha Tinh provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission Truong Thanh Huyen said that this practical activity was to actualize contents in the coordination regulations on conducting the “Coast guards accompany fishermen” program signed between the standing party committees of Ha Tinh province and the Vietnam Coast Guard.

She added that the program has contributed to enhancing fishermen’s awareness of the position, role, and importance of national sea and islands, thus raising their responsibility to strictly observe fishing regulations, protect marine resources, and firmly safeguard national sea and islands.
