Due to the impact of natural disasters, cracks have appeared on the mountaintop in Vang Phao hamlet, Muong Tip commune, Ky Son district with a risk of landslides and threatening the safety of 70 Kho Mu ethnic minority households living in the area.
Therefore, Ky Son district in Nghe An province has invested in completing a new resettlement site to relocate all households to a safer area. As planned, the relocation must be completed by February 2025, before the rainy season.

Accordingly, Ky Son district mobilized all forces to join the efforts. However, there were challenges facing the work, as the households are located in steep, high-slope areas with limited flat space. To complete the task, the local Party committee and authorities have maximized their resources to assist residents in moving their homes to the new resettlement area safely and on schedule.
Together with other agencies and departments, Muong Ai Border Post has been tasked with assisting 18 households in this relocation effort. According to Senior Captain Duong Ngoc Manh Tien, Political Commissar of Muong Ai Border Post, the unit has successfully relocated 14 households to the new resettlement area as planned. For the remaining four households, the task remains challenging, but the unit’s leadership has encouraged troops to overcome all difficulties to help residents quickly stabilize their lives.
As a needy household, it took Xeo Pho Dieu’s family time to relocate house to the new resettlement site. However, with the assistance of officers and soldiers from Muong Ai Border Post, he could do it faster. Saving time is crucial in helping residents quickly move to their new house to soon stabilize their lives and celebrate Tet.
In addition to mobilizing forces to assist residents in relocating to their new house, Muong Ai Border Post also extracted part of its budget to present gifts to needy household in Vang Phao hamlet on the occasion of the lunar New Year 2025.
