Army Corps 4 meets with national contributors
PANO – The Army Corps 4 Command on July 20 held a meeting with national contributors, wounded soldiers, and martyrs’ relatives prior to the 70th Vietnamese Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day.

Attending the event, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, delivered a speech, expressing deep gratitude to Vietnamese heroic mothers, heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, wounded, sick and fallen soldiers for their great contributions to resistance wars for national salvation.
General Nghia also praised achievements and efforts of Army Corps 4 in carrying out gratitude activities over the past time. Particularly, units under the army corps have over the past years cooperated with localities to repatriated more than 6,200 sets of remains of martyrs, collected information about over 38,000 fallen soldiers, taken care of 19 Vietnamese heroic mothers, built hundreds of gratitude houses, and raised dozens of billions of Vietnamese dongs for gratitude activities.
The Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics asked the army corps to promote education to raise troops’ awareness of their missions and responsibility for national construction and protection cause. He added that the army corps should focus on strengthening the quality of training and combat readiness to meet requirements of missions in the new period, implementing movements, and developing more gratitude activities.
The same day, Army Corps 4 inaugurated a memorial of martyrs.
