Colonel Trieu Quang Quy, Flotilla 21's Deputy Political Commissar encourages heroic Vietnamese mother Do Thi Tuc.

The event was part of the activities to mark the 47th anniversary of Southern liberation and national reunification day (April 30, 1975 – 2022).

Speaking at the gift presentation ceremony, the flotilla’s Deputy Political Commissar Colonel Trieu Quang Huy expressed deep gratitude to heroic Vietnamese mothers who lost their beloved ones during the resistance war for national independence. 

On the occasion, Flotilla 21, the Mass Mobilization Commission of Hoai Nhon Town’s Party Committee, the town’s Youth Union chapter, and Chu Van An High School held a program to provide the school’s teachers and students with information related to situation at sea and islands in South Central Region, Vietnam Law of the Sea, Law on Coast Guard in 2018, and the Vietnamese coast guard force’s missions.

* A mission of the General Department of Logistics has visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries and national contributors in Huong Do commune, Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province.

Huong Do commune was the place where the general department’s headquarters was located to direct the provision of logistical services for the resistance war against the American imperialists. 

At the event, the mission handed over monthly allowance to three martyrs’ mothers and two martyrs’ widows and gifts, worth VND 2 million each, to the families.

Earlier, the General Department of Logistics handed over VND 160 million to support two policy households in Huong Do commune to build houses.
