In neat uniforms, groups of soldiers eagerly joined tug-of-war, sack races, volleyball, folk games, and musical performances organized and staged by the troops themselves. The cheers and applause echoed throughout the unit, creating a lively atmosphere of camaraderie and unity. These activities provided relaxation after intense training and fostered closer bonds among soldiers.

In addition, the Division organized educational activities, including political sessions, youth forums, experience-sharing talks, reading, and traditional film screenings.

At the Ho Chi Minh hall, soldiers could learn about the military’s challenging yet proud journey, which promotes pride, spirit of sacrifice, and the resolve to overcome obstacles among troops.

These weekend activities served as a “spiritual remedy,” helping troops release stress, build resilience, and stay committed to their missions.

Senior Colonel Do Huy Hanh, Political Commissar of Division 302, emphasized that weekend activities not only help soldiers relax and bond with their comrades, but also strengthen their political resolve and sense of responsibility. To keep the programs engaging and effective, the division diversifies the content, blends tradition with creative recreation, encourages the role of Youth Union organizations and talented soldiers, and regularly gathers feedback to make timely improvements.

The Division has invested in facilities such as playgrounds, Ho Chi Minh room, and landscaping, while promoting exchanges with local youths and veterans to strengthen military - civilian bonds. These efforts have turned weekend activities into both a source of spiritual enrichment and a driver of better training quality, contributing to the development of comprehensively strong units. Since 2020, the Division has consistently received the Emulation Flag from the Government, the Ministry of National Defense, and Military Region 7. In the coming period, it will continue to foster a healthy cultural environment, strengthen ideological foundation and morale, and ensure its soldiers are ready to fulfill every assigned task.
