The event was held in celebration of the 74th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22nd, 1944) and the 29th Whole People's Defense Festive Day (December 22nd, 1989) and the upcoming 105th birth anniversary of General Nguyen Chi Thanh (January 1, 1914).

Present at the seminar were representatives of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Emulation and Reward Council, among others.

Speeches at the seminar told new stories about the life, career, and contribution of the late general to the Vietnamese revolution.

During his revolutionary career, he held many important positions, such as the first Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, Head of the Central Agriculture Board, and so on. During the seminar, delegates also highlighted the General’s great contribution to emulation movements, particularly his initiatives on the movements of “Co Ba Nhat” and “Gio Dai Phong.”

The seminar was held to honor the late general - a resilient communist, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, a talented military commander and an ethical leader. He has become a great example for Vietnamese citizens, especially young generations, to follow.
