Scientific seminar spotlights Uncle Ho's Soldiers
PANO - The Political Officers School (Politics University), in association with the Military Broadcasting Center (QPVN channel), on December 11 held a scientific seminar, themed "Deserving to be Uncle Ho's Soldiers in the new era".
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy-Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People's Army, chaired the event.

Speaking at the event, Gen. Nghia stressed that “Uncle Ho's soldiers” is a noble title associated with beautiful images and the good qualities of Vietnamese soldiers. Pointing out the theoretical and practical significance of the seminar, Gen. Nghia affirmed that the “Uncle Ho's soldiers” title has always attached to the noble and heroic image of the Vietnam People’s Army under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. Over the 76 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam People's Army has had many glorious victories, successfully completed all tasks, and earned the trust of the Party, State, and the people.
Gen. Nghia also asked agencies and units throughout the Army to further promote information dissemination and educate troops on the contents and criteria of the “Uncle Ho's soldiers” title in the current context so that troops are all aware of striving to deserve the title and achieve good results in training and performing their tasks.
Reportedly, the organizing panel has received 160 speeches with contents relating to the seminar's theme. The speeches and comments at the seminar focused on clarifying the establishment and development of Uncle Ho's soldiers' qualities, thereby analyzing limitations and drawing valuable lessons to promote the qualities in military units.
