Scientific seminar on non-traditional security challenges held

The seminar aimed to raise awareness of non-traditional security and its challenges, as well as promote the role of the military in preventing and combating non-traditional security challenges.

Senior Colonel Pham Van Son, Acting Director of the Military Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, chairs the event.

Through the seminar, the organizing panel hoped to provide scientific bases for and give recommendations to the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the General Department of Political Affairs, and the Political Academy on measures to prevent and deal with non-tradition security challenges in the time to come.

At the seminar, delegates and experts identified non-traditional security in terms of concept, approach and connotation and clarified the role of the Vietnam People’s Army in preventing and coping with non-traditional security challenges in the coming time.
