Refresher course held for medical staff of border posts and Northern villages
PANO - The Military Medical Department of the General Department of Logistics, in collaboration with Military Region 1, the Vietnam Border Guard Command, and Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy, kicked off a refresher course for medical staff of border posts and villages in Northern provinces on March 12.
According to the organizing panel, the course aims to equip the medical staff of border posts and Northern villages with basic knowledge and skills, thus enhancing the quality of healthcare for troops and people in remote and border areas in the North.

It is also to strengthen coordination between military and civilian medical establishments in implementing the Government’s Decree on combined military-civilian medical work. During the four-day event, trainees will be equipped with basic medical knowledge and skills.
Speaking at the event, Director of the Department of Military Medicine Major General Nguyen Truong Giang asked the organizing panel to strictly carry out the set program and ensure safety in all aspects during the training. He urged instructors and orators to convey easy-to-understand, easy-to-apply, easy-to-implement contents which are in accordance with actual situations of units.
He requested participating trainees to acquire and flexibly apply provided contents in accordance with reality of their agencies and units. During training, the medical staff of border posts and villages in Northern provinces should promote self-studying spirit, exchange, and share practical experience in performing tasks, especially in difficult areas.
