The border guards also joined hands with local people to repair landslide-damaged sea dyke sections, reinforce their farming area. In particular, in Bac Hoa village, Ngu Thuy Bac commune, Le Thuy district, more than 20 troops from Ngu Thuy Border Post helped ensure the safety of the family of Nguyen Van Thuan’s fishpond with an output of some 12 tons of snake-head fish.

Heavy rain together with possible flooding and landslides is forecast to happen in Quang Binh in the coming days. Therefore, the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command has directed its affiliated units and border posts to keep their troops and vehicles on standby to support local people and take search and rescue missions on request.

The affiliates have also been requested to team with localities and authorized forces to grasp the number of households in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and flash floods to remove them and their property to safe locations, ensuring safety for their lives and assets.
