The event was attended by Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich, Secretary of the Party Committees of Hanoi City and the Hanoi Capital Command Vuong Dinh Hue, and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, and Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia.
At the congress, delegates listened to the unit’s central political report and discussed the draft resolution for the 2020-2025 tenure. Accordingly, the Party Committee of Hanoi Capital Command planned to continue grasping higher levels’ resolutions on military-defense affairs, building strong Party organizations and comprehensively strong units, contributing to reinforcing local defensive areas.

Speaking at the event, General Lich applauded the achievements of the Party Committee of the Hanoi Capital Command over the past time, adding that the Committee has directed relevant units to strictly implement senior levels’ directives on military-defense tasks. He noted that the Committee has also ordered its affiliates to maintain combat readiness and collaborate with local forces to forecast and promptly deal with unexpected situations.
In addition, the defense minister required the unit’s troops to realize the significance of their missions and heighten their responsibilities to fulfill all assigned tasks. He urged the Command to provide timely advice for the municipal authorities in carrying out military-defense affairs and building a firm local whole-people defense posture in the current context.
On the other hand, General Lich asked the Party Committee of Hanoi Capital Command to be ready for natural disaster control and search and rescue missions, improving training quality, and building strong armed and militia forces.

The defense minister urged the unit’s Party Committee to focus on building outstanding individuals and groups in terms of political virtues, morality, and culture.
In turn, Secretary of the Party Committees of Hanoi City and Hanoi Capital Command Vuong Dinh Hue praised the unit’s efforts, suggesting that delegates should focus the discussions of the draft resolution for the 2020-2025 tenure. He said that the Hanoi Capital Command should continue maintaining political security and social order in the area, contributing to ensuring safety for major events of the country in the new period.
