PAN’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief revealed that over the past time, PAN has thoroughly embraced and strictly implemented resolutions and directives of the Politburo, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the General Department of Political Affairs, and PAN’s Party Committee and well covered international and national political and social situation and military, defense activities.
In addition, its cadres and staff have enhanced solidarity and demonstrated their firm stance, readiness and determination to undertake and fulfill assigned missions.
The newspaper has printed articles and series of articles disseminating the implementation of the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress, the 11th Military Party Congress, the Central Military Commission on military and defense mission and military party organization building in 2022. Significantly, it has launched different columns to fight against wrongful viewpoints of hostile forces, contributing to protecting the Party, State, socialism and the Party’s ideological basis.
PAN has also paid attention to disseminating the implementation of regular military and defense tasks, the armed forces’ activities, the observance of combat readiness regulations, and troops’ military life.
In addition, the newspaper has focused on reporting important events, including visits of leaders of the Party, State, and army to foreign countries. It has effectively disseminated defense external relations work, including activities within the Vietnam – Lao, Vietnam – Cambodia, Vietnam – China Border Defense Friendship Exchanges.
Speaking at the conference, PAN’s Editor-in-Chief Major General Doan Xuan Bo highly appreciated positive achievements obtained by the newspaper’s reporters and staff over the past six months. Notably, the newspaper successfully hosted the first “Protecting the Party’s ideological basis in the new period” writing contest and launched the second edition. It also awarded best authors in the 13th “Simple, but noble examples” writing contest and kicked off the 14th edition. These contests have wowed the community.
In addition, PAN organized two seminars on virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers with the participation of around 100 leaders, managers, scientists and artists.
Regarding missions in the last half of this year, Major General Doan Xuan Bo urged the newspaper’s reporters and editors to closely follow national, regional and international situations and effectively disseminate political, military, economic, cultural, social and foreign relations events and activities of the armed forces.
In addition, the newspaper should promote information dissemination to protect the Party’s ideological basis, fight the “peaceful evolution” strategy of hostile forces, and prevent the signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation." General Bo also asked the newspaper’s personnel to enhance popularizing the implementation of movements on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle and promoting traditions, contributing talents, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
He urged the newspaper’s departments to focus on raising the quality of publications and columns by writing articles and series of articles about different fields, remote and mountainous areas, training and combat readiness activities, natural disaster prevention and control and search and rescue while covering important political events and big celebrations of the nation.
