At the meeting, the Deputy Director of the Northern Helicopter Company, Senior Colonel Ta Xuan Vinh delivered a summary report on the company’s task performance and activities in the emulation campaign during the period.
Over the past five years, the company has launched 14 regular emulation campaigns and dozens of short-term high-intensity emulation drives. The emulation campaigns and drives were based on the organization’s directions and the company’s missions and focused in overcoming the unit’s weaknesses or improving the quality of the accomplishment of its key tasks. The results of these emulation campaigns and drives contributed importantly to its building of an efficient and strong Party organization, strong grassroots organizations and overall, a comprehensively powerful unit.
Delegates at the meeting further discussed both limitations and achievements of the unit over the past five years. They all agreed that the unit had made important breakthroughs in its overall development over the period, while ensuring its organizational stability and drawing up a good road-map for its future development.
The period has also witnessed a number of new records set: the unit conducting nearly 10,600 flight hours with absolute safety in period 2012-17, the year of 2,000 flight hours, a helicopter with more than 450 flying hours and a pilot with more than 400 flight hours per year.
Alongside commercial flights, the unit conducted dozens of special flights serving Party, State and Government leaders, as well as military and defense missions with absolute safety, including three special flights carrying Party, State and Government leaders to Laos and participation in military exercise BD13.
The leaders of the unit at the meeting also named officers and workers with technical initiatives, research projects and good solutions that have helped save hundreds of millions of VND in management and operation over the past time.
Discussing its plans for future development, delegates at the meeting frankly pointed out its limitations and weaknesses over the past five years, identified the causes, drew lessons and sought good solutions.
