Naval troops help extinguish forest fire in Ha Long
PANO – About 80 troops from the Naval Region 1 Command stamped out a forest fire in Hung Thang ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, on October 2.

Earlier, after receiving a request from the Ha Long city People’s Committee, Brigades 170 and 147 under the naval region sent 50 and 30 troops, respectively, to the scene to work with local firefighters to put out the fire.
Due to the dry weather and strong winds, the fire broke out quickly. Accordingly, troops created firebreaks to prevent the 10-ha fire from spreading.
At 17:30 on the same day, the fire was put under control. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
