In recent times, the inspected units have successfully fulfilled their key political missions, strictly adhered to regulations during the 2025 lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, and effectively maintained discipline, order, and safety. Meanwhile, equipment management, technical maintenance, and preparations for the reception and training of new recruits have been carried out according to set plans.

The Saigon Newport Corporation has excelled in its business operations, achieving significant economic growth. Key economic indicators have shown an increase, with the total container throughput exceeding 10 million TEUs. Revenue, profit, and labor productivity have risen, with tax contribution to the State budget increasing by 28%.

The Training Center of Naval Region 2 has successfully trained and educated nearly 2,000 new recruits, signal operators, and non-commissioned technical personnel, meeting planned targets with high quality. All officers and soldiers have strictly observed legal regulations and military discipline. Meanwhile, the Technical Support Center of Naval Region 2 maintained proper procedures for the reception, storage, and maintenance of weapons and equipment, ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations.

Concluding the working sessions, Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem highly valued the units for their achievements. He instructed the units’ chains-of-command to further enhance personnel management, conduct thorough evaluations, and assign officers and soldiers based on their capabilities. He emphasized the need to avoid appointing individuals lacking the required qualifications and competence to key leadership positions. Commanding officers of the units must closely monitor soldiers’ morale and interpersonal relationships, fostering solidarity within their units.

Additionally, the units were asked to make comprehensive preparations for the upcoming training season and new recruit training. They were also required to well organize and conduct Party congresses at all levels, ensuring precision, adherence to principles, and quality. In particular, the selection of personnel must be based on a full assessment of their competence, ethics, and professional qualifications to meet mission requirements in the coming period.
