Being tasked with ensuring security and social order in the area, over the past years, Muong Lat district’s Military Command has directed militiamen to organize training in line with reality. Therefore, the force has always fulfilled all assigned missions, becoming the fulcrum of local people in any circumstances.

In November, the weather in Muong Lat district is complicated. However, local militiamen have overcome difficulties to complete their training sessions.

Commander of Muong Lat townlet’s Military Command in Muong Lat district Ha Van Tham held that during training, they focus on training quality. “Knowing that the locality has Ten Tan Border Gate and has shared borderline with Laos, the force has actively worked with military units stationed in the district to implement some training contents such as border patrols, search and rescue scenarios, and martial arts... in line with reality,” he added.

Since the beginning of the year, before training, Muong Lat district’s Military Command grasped all directions and instructions of higher levels, launched emulation drive, and raised troops’ awareness of the importance of the training and combat readiness mission. The unit has also directed affiliated branches to update training contents which are close to local situations and promote training quality.

Specifically, the militiamen should promote training on forest fire prevention and control in the communes of Tam Chung and Muong Chanh which own a large area of forest, while those in Muong Ly commune are requested to raise their capability of natural disaster prevention and control, as well as search and rescue missions. Besides, the militia force in border areas like Pu Nhi and Nhi Son are required to prevent illegal border crossings, among others.

In addition, Muong Lat district’s Military Command always attaches much importance to raising troops’ leadership in each position, while making thorough preparations for all training sessions, and updating new contents related to their assigned tasks.

Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Xuan Thanh, Commander of Muong Lat district’s Military Command, shared that the unit boosted training in line with ensuring discipline and safety during training. After each training session, the unit held meeting to review task performance and map out solutions to raise training quality. As a result, the militiamen achieved good results during each year’s training.
