In this academic year, the academy continues its comprehensive education and training renovation plan with a focus on improving training quality, promoting management, practice and study, as well as gaining achievements in training and scientific research. It is carrying out the model “Smart school” to get prepared for the coming of the fourth Industrial Revolution.
Moreover, it targets to improve the foreign language learning quality and the command of foreign languages of its cadres, instructors and learners.
* The opening ceremony of the Army Officers' Training School No.2 saw the presence of Deputy Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Le Chiem. Former State President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent flower baskets of congratulation.

In the previous academic year, over 91 percent of its cadets graduated with flying colors. The school also studied, compiled, approved and transferred a number of topics, documents and textbooks as planned with practical results. Besides, its cadets won a number of valuable prizes at large-scale military contests and Dong Nai provincial-level competitions.
* In his speech at the new-school-year opening ceremony of the Military Political Academy, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, requested it to closely carry out training programs for all groups of learners while fulfilling its task of training officers from the Lao People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, contributing to strengthening the special friendship, solidarity and closeness between the States and militaries of Vietnam-Laos and Vietnam-Cambodia.

* In the 2019-2020 academic year, the Military Logistics Academy will try its best to accomplish all assignments, adjust and complete curricula for all subjects, renovate its training methods to meet the requirements. The academy will also promote training and practice quality and foster the contingent of cadres and instructors to improve their command of foreign languages and training skills and master computer skills while further doing scientific research and applying studies to reality.

* Planning to organize 104 training courses for nearly 2,500 trainees, including Lao, Cambodian and Thai officers in the new school year, the Air Defense - Air Force Academy gets ready to undertake extra training missions for other foreign trainees. The school will standardize its contingent of instructors and education management staff while building a comprehensively-strong academy and developing itself into a smart school.
* The same day, the Border Guard Academy under the Vietnam Border Guard Command, the Naval Academy, the Artillery Officers' Training School under the Artillery Corps, the Signal Officers' Training School of the Signal Corps, the Chemical Officers' Training School under the Chemical Corps, the Military School of Military Region 9, the Naval Technical College and the Military Medical College No.2 also kick-started their academic year.
