During his trip to the Lung Cu Border Post as well as its COVID-19 control checkpoints, General Phuong was briefed on the unit’s task performance. He acknowledged and hailed the remarkable achievements of the border post in border management and mass mobilization work.

Presenting gifts to needy people in the area

The Deputy Director also requested that troops of the Lung Cu Border Post should overcome difficulties, increase border patrols at border rails and openings to grasp local situations as well as ensure order and security in the areas at the turn of the year, while seriously implementing COVID-19 control and prevention work.

In addition, the unit should take care of people of ethnic minorities in border communes of Dong Van district, Ha Giang province, contributing to helping them have a cozy and happy Tet while tightening military-civilian ties, General Phuong said.

On this occasion, General Phuong extended Tet wishes to all troops and local people.

On behalf of the CMC and MND, General Phuong presented gifts to the troops and 15 gifts to needy people in the area.

The delegation also visited troops on duty at the Lung Cu national flagpole and took part in a national flag salute ceremony there.
