The focus was on legal dissemination and consultation, military and defense law building, and efforts in searching for, collecting, and identifying the remains of martyrs.
The conference was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of National Defense Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong and Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans' Association Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong.
Gen. Truong highlighted the thorough implementation of legal education under Regulation No. 2767 and Project 1371, which encompassed training conferences, guidance on legal dissemination, and the distribution of related materials to veterans' association. The initiative also involved donating books and leaflets to units and organizing legal knowledge competitions for veterans.
Regarding the search, collection, and identification of remains of martyrs, various organizations, units, and localities have collaborated with veterans' associations and liaison boards to review and complete the list of the fallen and their profiles. Many local units actively processed martyr-related information, incorporating details from veterans.
Speaking at the conference, Gen. Luong commended the collaboration between the two organs, highlighting their valuable contributions to legal education and the martyrs' remains collect efforts.

The deputy defense minister emphasized that military units should closely collaborate with functional agencies of the Vietnam Veterans' Association in legal consultation, promote public compliance with State policies, and encourage veterans to supply information about martyrs’ remains. He urged them to timely report and address any arising issues to ensure effective and well-coordinated operations in the time to come.
* After nearly a month of searching in Laos' Khammouane province, Team 589 of the Quang Binh provincial Military Command collected two sets of martyrs' remains. Colonel Ha Xuan Nam, Political Officer of Team 589, reported that with the support from local authorities and residents, the team collected the martyrs’ remains from Thamlong Cave in Nongpin village, Bualapha district and Thammunoi Cave in Phanang village, Mahaxay district, Khammouane province. Many belongings of martyrs were found alongside their remains at depths exceeding 0.5 meters.

In addition to fulfilling their search and collect mission, team members conducted effective mass mobilization activities, including free health check-ups and donations of clothes and supplies to local people.
