At the tree-planting festival launched by Hanoi |
The event saw the participation of the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen, and Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh.
Reportedly, the city has completed the tree-planting program, planting one million trees two years ahead of schedule and planting 600,000 more trees along 250 roads throughout Hanoi. The program aims to beautify the landscapes and prevent wind damage, dust, and noise pollution in the city.
Following the achievements gained in previous years, the city’s units have decorated the city with trees, flowers, and ornamental plants to celebrate the 13th National Party Congress, the founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and the government’s program of planting one billion green trees by 2025.
The city has set a plan to plant 300,000 trees of different kinds.
* On the same day, Depot 661 under the General Department of Logistics launched the tree-planting festival in the unit.
In 2021, the department is expected to plant over 130,000 trees, including more than 10,000 fruit trees and 120,000 for timber and shade.
Depot 661 has set a goal to plant 3,174 fruit and timber trees.
Over the past year, agencies and units have responded well to the tree-planting festival. The festival aims to beautify its barracks and build a green, clean, and attractive compound.
