PANO - The Song Thu Corporation, under the Defence Ministry’s General Department of Defence Industry, on November 12th handed over two modern tug boats ASD 2411 to SAREP GABON Company.

The ships were launched in January 2015 as part of a contract to build eight ASD 2411s, between the Vietnamese corporation and Damen Group of the Netherlands in November 29th 2012.

The ship, with a capacity of 5,600 CV, is designed by Damen to tug other vessels in narrow waters.

So far, the companies have cooperated to build ASD-class ships for European and Middle Eastern countries.
