At the event, Commanding General of MR4 Lt. Gen. Ha Tho Binh reported on the unit’s military and defense task implementation in the first seven months of this year.

Accordingly, the whole military region seriously implemented the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense’s resolutions and orders on military-defense tasks in 2024, maintained combat readiness and search and rescue duties, pro-actively reviewed and completed combat readiness documents and plans.
In the reviewed period, MR4 mobilized over 2,400 troops and 32 vehicles for forest fire fighting and search and rescue missions, receiving high appreciation from local authorities. In addition, the military region ensured high quality and schedule in the recruitment work and the training for recruits reaped higher results than the previous year.

In his concluding speech, Gen. Cuong hailed MR4’s armed forces for their attainments over the past time, particularly in combat readiness observance, training, especially militia and self-defense forces, recruitment, guarantee of logistics supplies and financial allocation for tasks and external affairs.
To fulfill missions in the coming time, Gen. Cuong asked the region’s Party Committee and Command to continue embracing and implementing higher level’s resolutions and orders on military and defense tasks for 2024, closely teaming up with other forces to keep a close watch on situational developments, improving quality of organizing training and exercises, speeding up the construction of combat facilities, and checking the use of defense land.

The MR4 Party Committee and Command were also urged to meet goals set in the resolutions of all-level Party congresses in the 2020-2025 period, prepare personnel and release documents directing all-level Party congresses in the 2025-2030 period, and ensure policy for troops as well as build up their determination to ensure that in any circumstances the military is absolutely loyal to the Fatherland and people.
