Military logistics reviews its task performance
PANO - The Ministry of National Defense on July 2 organized an online conference to review the task performance of the military logistics sector in the first six months of 2020 under the chair of Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang, Director of the General Department of Logistics (GDL).
According to a report, in the first months of 2020, all agencies and units under the GDL have embraced the Central Military Commission's resolutions and directions of the ministry's leaders to provide sufficient logistic supplies and services for the military-defense missions, combat readiness, and troops' lives.
Especially, before the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, the military logistics sector has actively made recommendations for the higher level authorities to direct the military to take urgent measures to prevent the disease from spreading in agencies and units, and also provided sufficient resources for people in the quarantine areas.
Concluding the event, Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang asked all logistic agencies and units to make good recommendations for higher levels to ensure sufficient logistic supplies and services for all defense and military missions to protect national sovereignty over sea and islands, prevent the COVID-pandemic, and make good preparations for the Party congresses at all levels, and political-military conferences.
