Military department receives noble order
PANO – The Department of Personnel under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army on February 28 marked the 70th anniversary of its foundation day and received the first class Fatherland Protection Order.
Major General Do Manh Duc received the first class Fatherland Protection Order.
Recalling the department’s achievements over the past years, its director, Major General Do Manh Duc, stressed that generations of the department’s troops and staff have shown their firm political stance, consistently followed the ideal of national independence and socialism, been absolutely loyal to the Party, Nation and people, and strictly implemented law and military discipline. For its remarkable results, the Party and State granted the title "Hero of the People’s Armed Forces" and various other noble order to the department.
Addressing the event, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, Director of the General Department of Politics, affirmed that the contributions of the department have helped enrich the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army as well as beautify the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the hearts of the Vietnamese people and international friends.
General Cuong asked the department to continue grasping the guidelines and resolutions on strengthening the Party in the period of 2013-2020 and the years to come and to focus on building a contingent of officers with high quality, firm political stance, and determination to undertake and fulfill all assigned missions. He added that the department should promote cooperation with relevant organs inside and outside the army, proactively follow military units’ situations to give timely advice to senior levels to effectively deal with any emerged problems, and well carry out policies for cadres. More importantly, the department should thoroughly understand the organization and missions of military units to wisely arrange work for cadres, making contributions to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and gradually-modernized people's army.
At the event, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong handed over the order to the department’s representative.
