Military delegations pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh
PANO – On May 18, a delegation of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, led by Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich, laid a wreath and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum on the occasion of the late President’s 130th birthday (May 19, 1890-2020).

Chief of the General Department of Politics General Luong Cuong, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, and Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, among others joined the delegation.
In the solemn atmosphere, the delegates expressed their deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader and great teacher of Vietnam’s working class and people and the beloved Father of the people’s armed forces. He devoted his entire life to the national liberation and reunification cause.
Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s example, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and Party committees and chains-of-command have united and instructed the whole military to fulfil all assigned missions, contributing to building a regular, elite, and increasingly modern army. The military has deserved the trust of the Party, State, and people.
The delegation also laid flowers and lit incense at the Heroic War Martyr Monument on Bac Son Street in commemoration of fallen soldiers who sacrificed for the national liberation cause.

On the same day, a mission of the Military Region 4 Command paid homage to President Ho Chi Minh. At the ceremony, Military Region 4’s officers expressed respect and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved Father of the people’s armed forces. The mission also reported achievements recorded by the military region’s armed forces to the late President.
They promised to unite and lead the military region’s armed forces to fulfil all assigned missions with a focus on implementing directives of the Politburo and the “Promoting tradition, contributing talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers” movement.
