Over the past time, the political security and social order and safety in the border area of Dak Nong province have been maintained. The local authorities have paid much attention to border work and the building of the provincial border guard force, creating favorable conditions for implementing the Central Military Commission’s Resolution No.847 on promoting virtues of Uncle Ho's soldiers and fighting individualism in the current context, and Directive No.173 of the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Border Guard Command on enhancing political and ideological education, reducing violations of law, violations of military discipline, and ensuring safety in border affairs.
In order to build an image of a dynamic, creative, brave but kind-hearted border guard force in the eyes of border people and international friends, the Dak Nong provincial Border Guard Command has taken various measures to form a team of border troops with a firm political stance, effective working methods, moral qualities and healthy lifestyle, contributing to building a comprehensively strong, typical and exemplary unit, beautifying the good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new situation, and encouraging troops to overcome difficulties to successfully complete all assigned missions. Meanwhile, the command has honored outstanding individuals and strictly handled negative manifestations in a timely manner.
According to Colonel Phan Thanh Hien, Political Chief of the Dak Nong provincial Border Guard Command, troops should heighten their responsibilities in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle and observing resolutions, conclusions, and regulations of the Party.
Together with promoting democracy and building internal solidarity and military-civilian ties, over the past two years, Dak Nong border guards have prevented violations of military discipline and law while exerting great efforts to accomplish all assignments.
Managing border areas in Dak Wil commune, Cu Jut district, over the past time, Nam Na Border Post under the Dak Nong provincial Border Guard Command has taken the lead in mass mobilization work. The support of border troops has helped local authorities consolidate the grassroots political system; effectively implement the national target program on hunger eradication and poverty reduction; build new-style rural areas; and assist underprivileged people, to name but a few.

Stationed in border areas deep in the forest with no or very few people, the Border Posts of Dak Dam, Dak Ken, Dak Mbai, and more have strictly maintained military discipline observance. Apart from enhancing political and ideological education, the units have focused on taking care of the material and spiritual life of troops. After patrols along the borderline, hard training sessions on the ground, and production activities, troops gather to sing together and enjoy the fruits of their labor.
