HCM City Military Command honors outstanding examples

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and task performance of the youth unions of the city’s armed forces.

Particularly, in 2021, the youth union movements and youth campaigns of the city’s armed forces gained remarkable development, leaving good impression of  virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers on locals.

During the fourth COVID-19 wave, youth union members of the city’s armed forces actively joined the pandemic prevention and control. 36,000 youth union members were mobilized to support the frontline of the COVID-19 fight. The honored examples are not only outstanding youth union members in the pandemic prevention and control, but also the ones with good academic results.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Tuan Bao, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command, applauded efforts of the youths of the city’s armed forces over the past time. He hoped that they will continue promoting their achievements, making contribution to the construction and protection cause of of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Outstanding examples honored at the event

Previously, delegates offered incense and flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Statue in the precint of the city’s military command.
