Get-together held for veterans of Army Corps 2 in Hanoi
PANO - The Liaison Board of Veterans of Army Corps 2 (present Army Corps 12) in the Northwest of Hanoi held a get-together on May 12 in Hanoi. The event was attended by 100 members of the board.
During the event, the participating veterans reminisced about the glorious history of their unit. In response to the revolutionary mission, Army Corps 2 was established on May 17, 1974, as the regular mobile army corps deployed to the Southern theater together with Infantry Division 304, Infantry Division 324, Artillery Regiment 164, Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment 673, Armored Regiment 203, and Engineering Regiment 219. The division rapidly maneuvered from Da Nang to Xuan Loc to coordinate with other forces in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign and achieved the final victory.
