Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong encourages cadets of the Border Guard Academy.

Speaking at the working session, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised the Border Guard Academy’s obtained outcomes over the past time. He asked the unit to continue studying and actualizing higher levels’ resolutions and directives on education and training.

The chief of the General Staff also urged the academy to strictly carry out the motto “The school’s training quality is the unit’s combat readiness capacity” and resolutely combat achievement obsession and negative phenomena in education. The academy should actively foster coordination with agencies and units, assess graduates’ task performance capability, and adjust the contents in line with its training programs for subjects.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the Border Guard Academy to continue strictly implementing the Ministry of National Defense’s directives on urgent tasks of improving the quality of foreign language teaching and learning in the military school system; speeding up the construction of the training ground; seriously carrying out military recruitment regulations; providing training for foreign officers and cadets.

The General Staff chief assigned the Border Guard Command to direct the academy to overcome shortcomings pointed out by the mission and make a report to leaders of the General Staff and the Ministry of National Defense through the Department of Military School Management before May 1, 2023.
