In his concluding remarks, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised the pro-active, innovative efforts of units in fulfilling their tasks in 2023, highlighting significant achievements in staff work. He urged leaders at all levels to enhance their situation studying, forecasting capabilities, providing advice to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, promptly handling all scenarios, and effectively implementing the Party's resolutions and laws on military affairs, socio-economic development orientations, ensuring defense and security in key areas by 2030 with a vision towards 2045.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested all units to rigorously maintain combat readiness, firmly manage the sky, the sea, border areas, cyberspace, and coordinate in ensuring security for the nation's and military’s important events.
He instructed units to strictly uphold training activities for their troops, organize competitions and sports events with quality absolute and safety. Additionally, the Chief of the General Staff urged units to reinforce disciplinary regulations and management, enhance the quality of activities of the militia force, maintain strict combat readiness at all levels, and develop contingency plans for responding to natural disasters, carrying out search and rescue operations, preventing diseases and epidemics, and dealing with environmental issues.
For 2024, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong called upon the entire military to elevate their sense of responsibility, unity, cohesion, pro-activeness, innovation, and determination to overcome challenges and successfully accomplish all tasks.

Addressing the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong commended the achievements of the military intelligence force over the past year. He emphasized the need for the entire military intelligence force to thoroughly implement resolutions on military and defense affairs, construct a "lean, robust" force, organize effective operations, specifically by grasping the situation in their designated areas, improving their forecasting capabilities, advising local Party committees, and authorities to handle situations in a timely manner, and efficiently conduct mass mobilization work.
