Highly appreciating the task performance last year of the Army Officer Candidate School No.1 and the Political Officer Candidate School, Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the GS, urged them to continue to innovate their training programs, ensure cyber security, observe combat readiness regulations, and organize patrols. They should effectively organize tree-planting ceremonies, receive new recruits, start training sessions as planned and carry out policies for troops’ families.

Visiting the Armored Corps, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Nguyen Trong Binh highlighted the corps’ achievements in training, combat readiness, organization of festivals, COVID-19 prevention and control, and preparation for a cozy Tet for troops.

On behalf of the Ministry of National Defense, Gen. Binh presented Tet gifts to the corps and wished troops health, solidarity, high determination, and fulfillment of assignments and a happy new year.

Acknowledging good preparations for Tet of the Engineering and Chemical Corps in terms of combat readiness, fire-fighting, search and rescue operations and coordination with other local forces, Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff asked the two corps to ensure a cozy, safe, healthy, economical and united Tet holiday for troops.

He hoped that they will bring into play their achievements made last year, especially in performing key political tasks and COVID-19 prevention and control work and closely team with relevant forces to grasp situations, and actively and effectively deal with any possibly arising circumstances.

During the pre-Tet visit to the Signal Corps, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff asked it to double check and adjust communication assurance plans, pay attention to troops’ spiritual and material life and their families during Tet.

Extending Tet greetings to the Commando Corps, Lt. Gen. Nghia requested it to well implement combat readiness duties, keep a close watch on situational developments, and assigned targets, practice scenarios, and ensure safety before, during, and after Tet, and stay ready to receive and train new recruits.
