An overview of the meeting

Informing voters about the country’s recent socio-economic development, Gen. Giang noted that in 2025, the Party and the State have decisively and synchronously implemented a range of historically significant guidelines and policies, creating strong momentum for national development. The two-tier local government apparatus has operated stably; political security has been maintained; the economy has sustained positive growth; and national-level celebrations have left good impressions on the people and international friends.

Regarding the military, Gen. Giang underlined that in the year, the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND) have effectively carried out strategic advisory work on military and defense affairs, played a core role in building strong whole people’s defense, and firmly safeguarded the Fatherland. They have maintained a pro-active posture, handled situations prudently and flexibly, and advised the Party and the State in successfully organizing major national commemorative events. In particular, important results have been seen in Military Party Organization building. In addition, the Military Party Organization in general, and the CMC in particular have led and directed the entire military to successfully and excellently fulfill all assigned tasks.

Gen. Giang highly appreciated the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen province for their synchronous and decisive implementation of key tasks and solutions in accordance with the programs and plans for 2025. He highlighted the province’s stable socio-economic situation with positive development.

Regarding 2026, Gen. Giang said that global and regional security and political situations are forecast to remain complex and unpredictable. Domestically, many important political events will take place, including the 14th National Party Congress, and elections of deputies to the 16th N.A. and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, while requirements and tasks for national construction and defense continue to rise. Therefore, Thai Nguyen province must firmly grasp developments in all areas, devise appropriate, timely, and effective policies; be pro-active and flexible in leadership and administration; demonstrate high determination, great effort, and decisive action; and strive to exceed the socio-economic targets for 2025.
