General Luong Cuong visits Army Corps 2

Army Corps 2 has actively embraced and implemented the resolutions of the Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission regarding the leadership and organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the 2021-2030 period and the subsequent years. They have also followed the plans outlined by the Ministry of National Defense for adjusting the unit’s force structure. Specifically, the unit has focused on making political, ideological, organizational, and policy preparation, while transferring its affiliated units to Military Regions 1 and 2 in accordance with the designated timelines. In the upcoming time, the Corps' leadership, officers, and soldiers will continue to promote unity, determination, and readiness to receive and excellently fulfill all assigned tasks.

Addressing the meeting, General Luong Cuong highly praised the outstanding achievements of Army Corps 2, particularly in their mass mobilization work, natural disaster prevention and control, and the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. He emphasized their significant contribution to upholding the good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.

The Director of the General Department of Political Affairs urged the Party Committee and Command of Army Corps 2 to deeply understand and strictly implement the resolutions and directives of the Politburo, the Central Military Commission, and the decisions of the Ministry of National Defense regarding the new organizational structure. He stressed the importance of maintaining unity and readiness for the unit’s troops to excellently fulfill any assigned tasks. Commanding officers at all levels must understand and address the concerns and aspirations of officers and soldiers. They should focus on completing the remaining tasks for 2023, building leadership resolutions and work plans for 2024 that align with the requirements following the organizational adjustments, and concentrate on constructing regular, law-abiding, and disciplined units.
