PANO - As many as 54 outstanding labour union members were awarded at an event held by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam's People Army on July 28th in Hanoi.

Senior Lieutenant General Phuong Minh Hoa, Deputy Chief of the department and Mr. Nguyen Van Ngang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Labor Confederation attended the event to honour excellent members of the army's labour unions during the "Learning and following President Ho Chi Minh's moral example" movement in the period of 2010-2015.

Addressing the ceremony, Sen. Lt. Gen. Hoa revealed that the whole army's labour unions have successfully implemented information dissemination to raise their troops' awareness and responsibility on the role of the movement over the past five years. In addition, they have closely attached the movement to the implementation of the Party Central Committee's Resolution No. 4 and other competitive movements such as the “Promoting traditions, contributing talents, deserving to be Uncle Ho's soldiers," contributing to building strong labour unions and party organizations as well as comprehensive strong units, he added.

On behalf of the department's leaders, General Hoa handed over certificates of merits to outstanding labour union members at the ceremony.
