In February, the Party and political work in the whole military closely followed the military and defense tasks and reality. The work was conducted comprehensively and met all set targets with good outcomes. Particularly, the whole military well carried out political and ideological education; strictly implemented directives of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND) on combat readiness and the organization of the lunar New Year 2024.

The information dissemination work was strictly carried out, thereby raising troops’ awareness of and responsibility in task performance. In addition, the whole military actively fought wrongful allegations of hostile forces to protect the Party's ideological foundation, among others.
Also, the mass organizations held various practical activities, contributing to beautifying the images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers while troops in the whole military showed their firm stance, readiness, and determination to undertake and fulfill all assigned missions.
In his remarks, General Luong Cuong applauded the great efforts of agencies, units, officers, soldiers, and staff in the whole general department in completing both regular and unexpected tasks.
Regarding tasks in March, the GDP chief required the agencies and units to follow tasks and plans on the Party and political work in 2024; focus on raising the quality of political education; promote law education among new recruits; and organize activities in celebration of the upcoming 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the 35th founding anniversary of the Whole People’s Defense Festive Day.
The general also underlined the need of the completion of reports reviewing the five-year-implementation of the Party building work (2021-2025) and 15-year-implementation of the Party’s Charter (2011-2025), etc.
The agencies and units should make thorough preparations for the upcoming conference to review the implementation of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.
General Cuong asked the agencies and units to further improve the quality and efficiency of the Party and political work in such missions as combat readiness, training and exercises, regularity building, discipline observance, search and rescue operations, and local military and defense.
