Engineering troops upholds training quality and combat readiness
PANO – Early this year, affiliated units of the Engineer Corps of the Vietnam People’s Army took measures to improve training quality, combat readiness and discipline observance. They well performed the training contents, maintained the regulations of combat readiness, especially during national events or major anniversaries, drew up plans and regularly checked troops’ exercises in accordance to combat plans.

The corps held 26 training courses for 1,375 participating officers at all levels with good results and provided training for more than 1,000 recruits with good results and safety.
The Engineering Officer Training School well organized field training exercises for senior cadets with fine results. Notably, engineer troops for future United Nations peacekeeping operations took part in special training and will be ready for the mission by the third quarter of this year.
Moreover, the quality of regularity building, disciplinary observance, and military personnel style has been increasingly enhanced. The whole corps had no cases of discipline violation and ensured absolute safety.
