Reportedly, the corporation’s port welcomed thousands of ships this year, transported over 70,000 tons of cargo, provided logistical supplies for naval units and fishery services for local fishermen and well responded to marine incidents.

Currently, the total volume of cargo handled by the corporation accounts for 50 percent of the country’s market share and 91 percent of the Ho Chi Minh City’s market share.

The corporation has just received, packaged and shipped medical equipment of the level-two field hospital No. 1 to Tan Son Nhat International Airport in preparation for the deployment of the hospital to South Sudan next month.

Speaking to the corporation’s leadership, General Vinh praised the unit’s achievements over the past time, and urged them to continue promoting their position as a leading defense-economic unit, contributing to the development of the military and the country.

He asked them to enhance international cooperation, make good preparations for a mission of transporting cargo for UN peacekeeping operations, contributing to raising the country’s position in the international arena.
