Defense Minister requests whole military to ensure political work

During the conference, the CMC members discussed several important contents, including reviewing the Party building work in the 2020-2025 term, the military and defense tasks in the first quarter of 2024, and mapped out tasks in the next quarter this year.

Addressing the event, General Giang noted that units in the whole military should ensure combat readiness, strictly protect national sovereignty, grasp situations so as to be ready in any circumstances, and ensure security and social order in the whole military.

An overview of the conference

The CMC, Defense Ministry should focus on leadership and effectively implement projects and assigned tasks of the Politburo, Secretariat, Government, and Prime Minister as scheduled with good quality. In addition, they should organize training for the parade in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

He also affirmed that the whole military should attach much importance to political education, promote dissemination and protect Party’s ideological foundation, fight against wrongful viewpoints and plots of hostile forces, raise training quality for new recruits, and make preparations for and organize defense external work, to name but a few.
