The defense chief sent a congratulatory letter to the regiment on the occasion of its 70th founding anniversary (April 6, 1954 - 2024).
In the letter, Gen. Giang congratulated all officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the regiment on the day. He highly praised generations of the regiment’s personnel for promoting the good qualities, glorious traditions of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army and heroic capital city over the past seven decades of construction, combat and development.

The defense leader highlighted their solidarity, creativity, resilience, and feats-of-arms as well as making three breakthroughs and achievements in training, and exercises.
With their attainments, the regiment has many times been honored with the “Good training unit” flag of the Ministry of National Defense, as informed in the letter.
Gen. Giang emphasized that the unit has actively contributed to the national salvation, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam construction and defense cause.
He expressed his hope that the regiment will continue promoting its traditions, accelerate studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle and actively respond to the “Promoting traditions, devoting talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers” campaign and exert utmost efforts to excellently complete all assigned missions.
The unit was urged to build a strong and healthy Party Organization, a comprehensively-strong, exemplary, typical unit and join the Party, entire people and military in victoriously realizing the resolution adopted at the 13th National Party Congress and to build a country of prosperity and happiness.
