During the event, commanders of these units also briefed the local people on the border security's situation and results of protecting borders and landmarks while the units' medical staff teamed up with local authorities to distribute leaflets and instruct local people how to prevent the disease, and measure body temperatures of 4,730 people.
Especially, troops came to each village to guide local people to take preventive measures and give 2019-nCoV-related information to them.
The border guard troops also warned local people about high risks of spreading COVID-19 in the community when they go through border gates, and asked them to inform authorities of illegal entry cases.
Over the past time, the units have well implemented two key missions of maintaining security and order in their designated border areas and preventing and combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, they organized 20 self-governing groups to maintain security and order in the villages. Since then the force has played an important role in encouraging their families and relatives to obey the Party's policies and the State's laws, especially the COVID-18 prevention and control rules.
